FAQs

  • The Warrior Conference is an incredible opportunity for men from to come together to experience God, connect with other men, and have a lot of fun along the way. Warrior conference exists to equip and empower men to build a relationship with God and with each other so that we never go to battle alone.

  • Trout Lake Camps officially opened in 1947 and since then more than 275,000 people have experienced this "meeting place with God." The camp sits on 325 acres north of Brainerd, Minn., and offers incredible experiences, from summer camp fun to weekend retreats for youth and adults.

The Camp is owned by approximately 250 Baptist churches who are associated with Converge North Central. Since 1960 we have been a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association (www.ccca.org)

Remember walking through the woods and playing outside with your friends? Trout creates those experiences, letting children, youth and families interact with God’s creation in one of the best outdoor settings in the state.

  • Men who attend will get their fill of food during the conference. We provide 3 meals on Friday (breakfast, lunch, & Streak Fry dinner) and Saturday serving breakfast and lunch. It is served in the dining hall on the Point with a wide variety of choices (including plenty of healthy options).

  • This is an opportunity to step away from your busy life and reset your mission, to focus and get closer to God.

It's time away from home, from work, to be intentional about your relationship with Christ. It's also a time to be with other men - as Iron Sharpens Iron (Proverbs 27:17) so does the fellowship with other men.

We want men to attend Warrior Conference to be inspired by the Word of God and come "home" to be leaders within their homes, churches, and communities.

  • Warrior Conference is not a traditional conference in the sense you are attending breakout sessions and learning from multiple teachers and subjects - but Warrior Conference is a retreat. A retreat for men to step away from their busy lives and reset their mission, to focus and get closer to God.

We feature four main one-hour sessions (including great worship music) that will include relevant messages and challenges the men face in today's world and for their future. This leaves time for men to reflect, retreat, and rest during the time away.

We purposely have flexible time available for men to explore the camp, engage in activities, or even take a nap (rest).

  • You are not alone, reach out to the Pastors and Conference organizer (Paul Bennett – bennep4@gmail.com) to get connected with other new attendees. We want men to connect with other men during this conference, this is a great place to make new friends.

  • We want men to be able to get home and lead their family to church on Sunday. By finishing up around 12pm on Saturday does allow men to plan an afternoon activity on the way home.

  • We believe that taking a day from work (and for some men — 2 days) is a sacrifice that is worth doing for God. It gives us 48 hours to put together a format that has some relevant messages for men but allows some down time and bonding time while you are at camp.

  • While we would love to have Warrior Conference on a different weekend, Trout Lake Camps typically does not host any groups the weekend prior to Memorial Day, so for a few years we are booked during Mother’s Day. We have surveyed “mom’s” and if Warriors are home on Saturday night, Mother’s Day is on Sunday!
